As the patient’s own blood is used to prepare PRP, the risk of disease transmissions, allergic reactions, toxicity or rejection is avoided. Other contraindications include patients:
- Who have haematological disorders or concurrent infections;
- Who have immunosuppression;
- Undergoing chemotherapy;
- Suffer from poorly controlled chronic medical conditions;
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Anyone with underlying disorder such as thyroid disease or lupus or diabetes aren’t likely to have good results because these conditions will continue to cause hair loss over time.
