Male Hair Restoration Case Study | PRP + MCT Results

Real patient. Real treatment record. Visible change.

His Crown Was Getting Harder to Hide. Then His Coverage Visibly Improved.

If overhead lighting, wet hair or a photo taken from behind suddenly exposes more scalp than you expected, you already know how crown thinning can affect your confidence. This anonymous male patient came to LMC with obvious thinning across the crown and vertex. At follow-up, his photographs showed fuller-looking coverage and substantially less visible scalp in the treated area.

This was not generic, one-size-fits-all PRP. LMC built a personalized regenerative program using Arthrex Angel 7% PRP, Meta Cell Technology (MCT) and a later ACP MAX treatment, then documented the change.

The Photos Make the Point: More Coverage. Less Visible Scalp.

The change is clearest where it mattered most: the crown. Follow-up photographs showed visibly fuller-looking coverage and less scalp show-through across the treated area. Compare the patient’s baseline with the result documented after completing the treatment program.

This is a real individual result, not a promise. Hair length, styling, lighting and camera position can affect how density appears. Every patient responds differently, and no regenerative hair treatment can guarantee regrowth.

Does Your Crown Look Like His “Before” Photo?

Stop trying to judge your hair loss in the bathroom mirror. Book a complimentary consultation and let LMC assess what is happening at the scalp level, what may still be treatable and which option actually fits your case.

No Guessing. No Generic Protocol. Start With Data.

Before recommending treatment, LMC performed a HairMetrix digital trichoscopy assessment. The scan documented baseline measurements across five scalp regions and gave the clinical team a more useful starting point than photographs alone. Because “try some PRP and see what happens” is not a serious hair-restoration strategy.

HairMetrix baseline trichoscopy scans and objective hair measurements for an anonymous male LMC patient
HairMetrix baseline analysis showing objective measurements from two scalp areas used to guide treatment planning. These are baseline scans, not a before-and-after comparison.
Selected baseline HairMetrix measurements
Scalp region Total hairs/cm² Average hair width Terminal-to-vellus ratio
Frontal 211 77.7 µm 23.7:1
Mid-scalp 176 72.8 µm 11.4:1
Vertex centre 179 82.5 µm Not available
Vertex right 156 79.5 µm 54.0:1
Vertex left 179 57.8 µm 30.5:1

These are baseline measurements only. A separate follow-up HairMetrix scan was not available, so LMC is not claiming a calculated percentage increase in density. The documented outcome is based on the treatment record and comparison photographs.

One Random Session Was Never the Strategy

Hair restoration is not an instant fix, and pretending otherwise wastes your time and money. This patient followed a structured series, returned for additional treatment and allowed time for the biological process to unfold.

  1. Initial treatment
Arthrex Angel 7% PRP combined with MCT.
  2. Second treatment
Arthrex Angel 7% PRP combined with MCT.
  3. Third treatment
Arthrex Angel 7% PRP combined with MCT.
  4. Additional treatment
A later Arthrex Angel 7% PRP session was completed as part of the patient’s ongoing plan.
  5. Follow-up treatment
An Arthrex ACP MAX regenerative hair treatment was added based on the patient’s individualized plan.

The takeaway is simple: consistency matters. PRP and PRF plans are individualized, and the number and spacing of treatments depend on the patient’s pattern of hair loss, clinical assessment, response and maintenance needs.

Why This Was Not “Just PRP”

Not all PRP systems, treatment volumes or protocols are interchangeable. The initial series used Arthrex Angel 7%, an advanced system that prepares platelet-rich plasma from the patient’s own blood. The prepared PRP was delivered directly to the areas of concern, while MCT was incorporated into the first three sessions as part of LMC’s regenerative treatment protocol.

Later treatments were selected to support the patient’s progress, including an ACP MAX treatment. LMC does not push every patient into the same protocol. Different causes, stages and patterns of hair loss require different decisions. The consultation is where those decisions begin.

Why Serious Hair-Restoration Clients Choose LMC

You are not simply booking injections. You are choosing the assessment, technology, treatment planning and follow-up behind them.

The right question is not, “Where can I get PRP?” It is, “Which regenerative treatment makes sense for my hair loss, and who has the technology to deliver it properly?”

The Questions Most People Ask Before Booking

How many PRP sessions did this patient receive?

The chart documents four Arthrex Angel 7% PRP sessions, including an initial three-session series with MCT, plus one later Arthrex ACP MAX treatment.

How long did it take to see the photographed result?

The result developed gradually over the course of the patient’s treatment and follow-up period. Hair growth takes time, and the timing and degree of improvement vary from person to person.

Does PRP work for every type of hair loss?

No. Hair loss can have several causes, and no treatment guarantees regrowth. A proper assessment helps determine whether PRP, PRF or another approach is reasonable for the individual patient.

Are these results guaranteed?

No. This is one patient’s experience. Results vary according to diagnosis, baseline density, follicle health, age, medical factors, treatment adherence and other variables.

Your Crown Will Not Improve Because You Keep Checking It in Different Lighting

Buying random products, comparing yourself with strangers online and waiting another six months is not a treatment plan. Book a complimentary consultation at LMC Laser Medical Clinic in Richmond Hill and find out whether PRP, PRF or another approach makes sense for your hair.
