PRP uses your own blood to address hair loss or thinning issues in both men and women. It’s a non-surgical and safe method, backed by research, that effectively targets the root causes of hair loss. At LMC – Laser Medical Clinic, we specialize in PRP hair therapy. With our experience dating back to 2013, we have successfully assisted thousands of individuals in regaining their hair.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy is widely available in clinics across the province, but there can be a large variation in treatment costs and effectiveness. It’s important to know that for PRP to truly work for hair restoration, experts agree the concentration of platelets should be at least 4 to 5 times higher than what’s found in normal blood.
In contrast, many clinics rely on basic test-tube centrifugation methods, typically achieving only 2x to 3x platelet concentration. Our specialized PRP technologies ensures faster, more noticeable results by maximizing platelets for hair treatments and ensuring the best possible results.
Although many clinics claim to reach optimal platelet levels, the truth is that not all PRP is the same. By investing in innovative techniques, LMC guarantees the high-level concentration necessary for effective hair regrowth.

#1 Non-invasive Procedure for Male & Female Pattern Hair Loss
PRP Hair treatment uses a special component from your blood, which is full of growth factors. These factors can make your hair thicker, healthier, and fuller, and you don’t need surgery or recovery time. The treatment involves injecting a highly concentrated version of this component directly into the scalp, which speeds up healing and encourages hair growth.
The reason some other PRP treatments don’t work as well is that they don’t use a strong enough concentration of these growth factors and platelets. Without enough of these, the treatment isn’t as effective in stimulating hair growth.

This hair restoration treatment works by stimulating hair follicles, creating a healthier environment that helps strengthen and thicken existing hair. It’s also beneficial for people who have had a hair transplant, as it can speed up hair growth of the transplanted hair.
After the treatment, you can return to your normal activities right away, but it’s important to protect your scalp from too much sun exposure and irritation

Our innovative three-tiered PRP service is designed to provide personalized and effective solutions for every individual experiencing hair thinning or hair loss.
RegenLab PRP is an excellent starting point for individuals noticing early signs of thinning, especially those with minimal hair loss. It’s a natural, safe, and effective option that helps halt the progression of hair thinning and sets the stage for healthier hair growth.
While RegenLab PRP is ideal for early intervention, it’s also a foundational treatment that complements advanced systems like Cervos keyPRP™ and Arthrex Angel 7%™ for those seeking intensified results. For more advanced hair loss cases, these higher-concentration systems offer tailored solutions, but RegenLab remains a trusted first step for rejuvenating your hair follicles naturally and effectively.
With RegenLab PRP, you’re not just treating hair thinning—you’re investing in the long-term health and vitality of your hair. It’s a smart, science-backed approach to reclaiming your confidence and embracing healthier, fuller locks.
Begin your hair restoration journey with RegenLab PRP, the foundational treatment in LMC's tiered PRP system. As our Level I or entry-level PRP option, RegenLab PRP is FDA-cleared and globally trusted for its precision, safety, and consistency. Using a closed, sterile centrifugation process, it delivers a high-quality platelet concentrate, isolating the platelet-rich layer and minimizing red blood cell contamination.
These growth factors activate dormant hair follicles, improve scalp blood circulation, and encourage the growth of thicker, healthier hair. The procedure is performed with the advanced U225 injection device, providing painless and precise PRP delivery.
RegenLab PRP is ideal for those seeking a natural, non-invasive solution for hair loss, making it the perfect starting point for hair restoration at LMC – Laser Medical Clinic.
LMC is proud to offer Level II: Cervos KeyPRP as part of our tiered PRP hair restoration system. This innovative treatment is the first of its kind in Canada, newly approved by Health Canada, and designed to deliver superior results.
The advanced double-spin technique used in Cervos KeyPRP™ maximizes platelet yield, enriching them with essential growth nutrients. Developed by the Cervos KeyPRP™ Processing System, this method ensures a potent concentration ideal for effective hair restoration. (Disclaimer: Information provided by MDBiologix.)
Like our other treatments, Cervos KeyPRP is precisely administered using the U225 injection device for targeted delivery and enhanced comfort.
Arthrex Angel 7%™ PRP is our premier PRP unit, setting a new benchmark in advanced hair restoration treatments. This cutting-edge system produces 6 to 18ml of highly concentrated PRP. By using a specialized centrifuge and a dual-spin protocol similar to Cervos Key PRP, the Arthrex Angel 7% ensures optimal separation of plasma components for superior efficacy. Its built-in density scanning feature further guarantees precise, automated PRP production. The Angel® system is the gold standard, delivering the highest concentration of platelets for unmatched results in hair restoration.
One of the key differences between Arthrex Angel 7%™ PRP and Cervos Key PRP is the Angel system’s ability to customize the cellular composition of the PRP. This customization, paired with its capability to process larger volumes of PRP, allows for bespoke treatments tailored to individual needs. This feature is particularly beneficial for addressing specific conditions such as alopecia areata and other types of hair thinning or shedding.
The Arthrex Angel 7% system is suitable for treating all types of hair loss, making it a highly versatile option for individuals seeking reliable and effective solutions. For the best results, we always recommend the Arthrex Angel 7%™ PRP system.
The Arthrex Angel 7% PRP system is designed to deliver the highest concentration of growth-stimulating platelets, directly addressing thinning hair and promoting natural regrowth.
Think of PRP as a powerful ingredient taken from your own blood, packed with growth factors that naturally encourage hair growth.
The Arthrex Angel 7% PRP system is specially designed to concentrate these growth factors to their fullest potential.
By delivering a highly purified and potent dose of platelets, it stimulates hair follicles and supports the scalp's natural healing process, resulting in thicker, fuller hair.
Arthrex Angel 7% PRP outperforms Cervos Key PRP, Harvest PRP, EmCyte, Isto Magellan, and Zimmer Biomet GPS III by delivering the highest concentration of growth-stimulating platelets in the purest manner.
Unlike systems like Eclipse PRP and RegenLab that offer lower platelet counts, Arthrex Angel 7% PRP maximizes the delivery of potent growth factors to reactivate dormant follicles and accelerate natural hair growth.

Effective hair treatment for Male and Female Pattern Baldness.
The most frequent cause of hair loss in both men and women is known as androgenic alopecia, often referred to as male or female pattern hair loss. In men, this condition commonly arises when testosterone is converted into dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. Elevated DHT levels reduce blood flow to the scalp, gradually shrinking hair follicles and prolonging the hair growth cycle, ultimately leading to thinner, weaker strands.
In women, the specific factors behind female pattern hair loss remain less clear. However, other well-recognized contributors to hair thinning in both genders include anemia (often linked to iron deficiency), underactive thyroid function, and vitamin D deficiency. Additionally, certain types of hair loss may be triggered by stress, medications, or autoimmune conditions like alopecia areata, where the body’s own immune system attacks healthy hair follicles. By understanding these underlying causes, individuals can seek targeted treatments and improve their chances of maintaining thicker, healthier hair.
PRP treatment for hair loss is a method where a person’s own blood is used to help regrow hair. In this treatment, a part of the blood that is rich in special cells called platelets is taken and injected into areas of the scalp where the hair is starting to thin. These platelets have important proteins that help in healing and growing new cells. This can help in improving hair growth.
Arthrex Angel 7%™ PRP represents the pinnacle of PRP innovation for hair loss treatments. Utilizing advanced centrifugation technology, Arthrex Angel 7%™ PRP precisely isolates and concentrates platelets, ensuring a potent blend of growth factors. These naturally occurring proteins help rejuvenate dormant hair follicles, boost circulation, and promote fuller, healthier hair regrowth. As a result, Arthrex Angel 7%™ PRP stands as a top-tier solution for individuals seeking more robust and long-lasting results.
Building on this foundation, Arthrex Angel 7%™ and Cervos keyPRP™ take the concept of concentrated PRP to the next level. While traditional PRP is already beneficial for enhancing hair growth, Arthrex Angel 7%™ and Cervos keyPRP™ deliver a richer “nutrient-dense” serum brimming with growth factors. This higher platelet yield effectively “supercharges” the PRP, maximizing its ability to awaken inactive follicles and encourage vibrant, renewed hair growth. With Arthrex Angel 7%™ and Cervos keyPRP™, patients can expect an even more dynamic response, especially in cases where standard PRP treatments have provided limited improvement.
By choosing LMC – Laser Medical Clinic for your hair restoration journey, you’re investing in cutting-edge treatments like Arthrex Angel 7%™ and Cervos keyPRP™. Backed by clinical research and proven efficacy, these elite PRP systems provide a comprehensive approach to hair rejuvenation—offering you the highest potential for thicker, healthier hair and a renewed sense of confidence.
PRP is not covered by OHIP. One session of regular PRP costs $400, while advanced PRP/GFC sessions range from $800 to $1200. Each PRP session includes an advanced HairMetrix analysis report to track your progress impartially. We offer both in-office financing options and partner with PayBright by Affirm for flexible financing solutions.
The most common side effects of the treatment are swelling and redness, which usually happen right after the procedure and go away within four to six days. Because the treatment uses your own blood, there’s a very low risk of getting an infection from someone else’s blood. However, although it’s rare, there’s still a small chance of serious problems like infection or scarring.
Phase I: Phase I involves blood extraction from the patient; this blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate the blood’s components. Platelets are obtained and may multiply; this multiplication process generates growth factors, which may ultimately be served as stimuli for the scalp’s cells.
Phase 2: Phase 2 involves platelet/growth factors provided to the scalp. This process promotes the healing of punctures as well as hair growth. Different vitamins, minerals, and hyaluronic acid may be provided after PRP treatment.
As the patient’s own blood is used to prepare PRP, the risk of disease transmissions, allergic reactions, toxicity or rejection is avoided. Other contraindications include patients:
When done correctly, most cases of PRP have resulted in some level of improvement following treatment, sometimes with noticeable thicker, healthier-looking hair. It is critical to understand that PRP is not a miracle treatment. The most effective results are often achieved in conjunction with other medical treatments and lifestyle modifications.
In general, PRP does not cure baldness (Androgenic Alopecia). A genetic medical problem always persists. However, regular treatment can significantly slow down the effects of Androgenic Alopecia and significantly increase overall hair density. Maintenance treatments will likely be required in order to maintain the results. However, maintenance treatment frequency varies on individual factor and the type of PRP used.
Generally, we recommend that you follow our PRP hair restoration pre & post-care guide in order to reap the best results from our PRP hair restoration treatments.
Since Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy may not be effective for everyone, it’s crucial to employ an impartial method for tracking results as objectively as possible. At LMC – Laser Medical Clinic, we utilize the Hair Metrix Camera analysis system developed by Canfield Scientific. This system includes a specialized camera for hair analysis and software that uses high magnification to count and measure hair, providing a detailed report on hair density, thickness, and overall health. Conducting a Hair Metrix analysis is highly beneficial both before beginning treatment.
At LMC – Laser Medical Clinic, we employ cutting-edge techniques to optimize the delivery of your PRP treatments for hair loss. For RegenLab and Cervos keyPRP™ procedures, we use the U225 injection gun, which is designed to maintain a uniform, precise needle depth and ensure consistent plasma distribution. By utilizing this advanced mesogun, we can often avoid the use of numbing cream, helping to preserve healthy blood circulation in the scalp and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the treatment.
In contrast, our Arthrex Angel 7%™ PRP treatments are administered through a manual injection process. This hands-on approach allows our skilled professionals to meticulously target specific areas of concern, delivering a truly customized PRP solution tailored to your unique hair restoration goals.
By offering both the U225 mesogun for RegenLab and Cervos KeyPRP and the manual injection method for Arthrex Angel 7%™ PRP, we can provide a highly personalized, results-driven experience—ensuring you receive the most effective and efficient PRP hair restoration solution possible.
To get the most out of PRP hair treatment, it can be combined with other proven hair loss treatments. For example, research suggests that using PRP alongside minoxidil, a well-known hair growth stimulant, yields better results than using either treatment alone. Minoxidil works to stimulate hair growth and slow down balding, making it a powerful complement to PRP.
PRP also boosts the benefits of hair transplants, particularly those using Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) techniques. When combined with a hair transplant, PRP accelerates recovery, promotes faster hair density, helps skin heal quicker, and can even activate dormant hair follicles. This makes the overall process more efficient and can improve long-term results.
